The 2018 harvest was accelerated by a heat wave over the Labor Day weekend, which pushed up sugar levels and forced wineries, vineyard workers and growers to adapt quickly
to rapidly ripening vineyard fruit. Prior to that, even summertime temperatures made for a
nice growing season that was kicked off by a moderate spring.
